Nicki Scully is a renowned healer, teacher, and author who has dedicated her life to sharing the wisdom of shamanism and the Egyptian mysteries. With over four decades of experience, Nicki has become a leading figure in the spiritual community, lecturing worldwide and guiding spiritual tours to sacred sites in Egypt, Peru, and other countries.
Nicki's journey into the world of shamanism and ancient Egypt began in 1978 when she traveled to Egypt as part of the Grateful Dead family. It was during this time that she fell in love with the country and its rich spiritual traditions. Over the years, Nicki cultivated deep relationships with the neteru, the deities of Egypt, and embarked on a ten-year study to become a healer.
As a result of her extensive knowledge and experiences, Nicki has personally led over 60 tours to Egypt, making her an unparalleled source of wisdom on the subjects of Egyptian magic, lore, and imagery. She has expertly woven this knowledge into her shamanic work, teaching the wisdom of ancient Egypt at the sacred sites themselves.
In addition to her work as a teacher and healer, Nicki is also a prolific author. She has written several widely respected books, including Power Animal Meditations, Alchemical Healing, Shamanic Mysteries of Egypt, and The Anubis Oracle. Her writings offer profound insights into the principles and mysteries of creation, providing practical techniques for physical healing, spiritual growth, and personal transformation.

In 2020, Nicki Scully received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Despite the changes she is experiencing, Nicki remains steadfast in her dedication to her work and the teachings she has shared for decades. Recognizing the need to ensure that her legacy continues, her daughter, Sage, along with a devoted group of friends and students, most recently Nik Balogh, has taken on the responsibility of moving her valuable teachings forward. This collaborative effort ensures that Nicki's wisdom and healing practices will be preserved and continue to benefit individuals on their spiritual journeys. We are grateful for their dedication and commitment to carrying forward Nicki's incredible legacy.
About Nicki and Mark by Sage (Nicki's daughter)
Nicki’s story would not be complete without honoring Mark Hallert. Mark came into Nicki’s life on a sunny day in 1985. Introduced by Mark’s sister Loa, the two were smitten immediately. From that day forward Nicki and Mark would live as one. I can remember Nicki being giggly like a schoolgirl when Mark was around. She loved his bright blue eyes and was captivated by his stories of adventures traveling the world. Nicki and Mark were married at our home in Eugene, Oregon in 1990 — in front of our combined families and close friends. Shortly after coming together, Nicki was pleasantly surprised to discover his visionary capacities — here’s an excerpt from the book they wrote together.
“That Mark was a visionary came as a wonderful surprise one day as we were driving down the I-5 corridor on our way from Eugene, Oregon to San Francisco, early in our relationship. I was off-handedly calling out the names of the Egyptian deities, musing to myself about Egypt. Mark was driving, and suddenly veered to the shoulder of the highway, stopped the car, and jumped out, backing away. “You had better have a good reason for calling them.” he admonished me. “because they’re all here.”
The story of Nicki and Mark is one of a unique and magical creative process, one for which we are all grateful and one that is still fresh and new and constantly changing even after all these years. Their ability to grow and learn new things together is a measure of their love — they are endlessly interested in each other.
Throughout all their years together Nicki and Mark have been dedicated to creating tools for the healing of Mother Earth and All Our Relations.
Mark has played a pivotal role in our family and has kept the home fires burning for all these years. Now, he is Nicki’s primary caregiver and reminds her daily that she is the love of his life.. as he is hers.
